He has undergone formal TMS training at two of the world’s leading TMS centres: Harvard University in the USA and the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), under the guidance of Prof Mark George. Notably, Prof George was a pioneer in using TMS to treat depression in the early 1990s.

He has also actively participated in TMS clinical research, aiming to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of TMS treatment across diverse patient groups. Collaborating with distinguished professors and clinicians during his training at the National Affective Disorders Service, he ventured into pioneering research involving Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) for treatment-resistant depression. As the primary psychiatrist at King’s College London site, he played a pivotal role in this multicentre international study.

In 2009, he became a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrists. In 2020, he earned the distinguished title of Fellow of the college, a recognition of his notable contributions to the field of psychiatry.
