FAQs about TMS
What Is TMS and How Does It Work?
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) is a safe, non-invasive treatment that uses magnetic pulses to stimulate specific areas of the brain involved in mood regulation. These pulses are delivered through an electromagnetic coil placed against the scalp, targeting underactive nerve cells linked to conditions like depression and OCD.
TMS is approved by the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) and is increasingly used for treatment-resistant mental health conditions
Accelerated, SAINT-Inspired TMS
Our team is uniquely equipped to deliver a SAINT-inspired, accelerated TMS protocol – providing intensive, high-frequency treatment in a shorter timeframe.
While only six clinics in the U.S. currently offer the original SAINT protocol, our expert team has worked closely with its pioneers and offers a UK-based alternative grounded in the same innovative principles.
What Can TMS Help With?
Our team provides TMS therapy for a range of conditions – with the ability to accelerate treatment using our SAINT-inspired protocol – including:
- Depression (including treatment-resistant depression)
- Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- Anxiety disorders
- Chronic pain and certain neurological conditions
If you’ve tried talking therapy or medication without success, TMS could be a highly effective next step.
